iOS 27.3 Beta 1 Released: What's New, Build Number & Release Date

Updated: November 4, 2026. Apple has released the first developer beta of iOS 27.3 — just eight days after iOS 27.2 went public on October 26. The new beta (build 24C5037i) arrived on November 3, 2026 alongside fresh betas for iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. The headline changes: the redesigned Health app is back after Apple pulled it late in the 27.2 cycle, Apple Intelligence is officially on its way to China, and Siri AI is opening up to every developer. Here is everything confirmed so far — with hands-on-report finds clearly labeled as unconfirmed by Apple.

iOS 27.3 beta 1: release details

• Released: November 3, 2026 (developer beta 1; no public beta yet)
• Build number: 24C5037i (same build for iPadOS 27.3 beta 1)
• How to install: Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates > select iOS 27 Developer Beta (requires a free Apple Developer account)
• Companion betas: macOS 27.3 Golden Gate (26C5035r), watchOS 27.3 (24S5284h), tvOS 27.3 (24K5286g), visionOS 27.3 (24N5286r)

Apple's own release notes for this beta list developer-facing changes only — which is normal for a first beta. The user-facing discoveries below come from Apple's announcements and hands-on testing by the press in the hours after release.

The redesigned Health app is back

The biggest visible change: Apple's redesigned Health app has returned in iOS 27.3 beta 1. Apple first tested the new design in the early iOS 27.2 betas, then pulled it in beta 4 with a promise it would arrive "later this year." Now Apple is signaling the redesign will officially ship with iOS 27.3 before the end of 2026.

What the redesign includes, per Apple's testing notes and coverage: a new Insights tab, a Health Age metric, at-home movement evaluations, and the ability to schedule lab work through Quest Diagnostics — plus expanded language support. If you followed our iOS 27.2 coverage, this is the feature that got away; 27.3 is where it finally lands.

Apple Intelligence is coming to China in December

Apple confirmed alongside the beta that iOS 27.3 will bring Apple Intelligence to China in December — the first time Apple's AI features officially launch there. The initial rollout is iPhone-only and will not include Siri AI or the other next-generation Apple Intelligence features announced at WWDC 2026; those come later.

One notable China-specific detail, per local coverage: features requiring deeper processing will be handled by Alibaba's Qwen model instead of ChatGPT. For traders watching the region, this is the starting gun for a wave of AI-capable iPhone demand in the world's largest smartphone market.

Siri AI opens to every developer

Apple says a new Developer Preview in the 27.3 betas lets any developer connect an app to Siri AI through App Intents — no special entitlement needed. It requires an Apple Intelligence-enabled device set to a supported language. This is the move that turns Siri AI from an Apple-only showcase into a platform: expect a flood of third-party Siri integrations once 27.3 goes public.

Siri AI also gains support for more languages in this beta, continuing the expansion that started with French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish in iOS 27.2.

Smaller finds (reported, not Apple-confirmed)

Hands-on reports from testers in the first hours flagged a few more changes. Treat these as reported until Apple documents them:

• Safari vertical tabs: 9to5Mac reports Safari in the 27.3 beta can run tabs down the left side of the window instead of across the top.
• iPhone Duo Reachability: testers report a Reachability-style one-handed mode for the iPhone Duo — plausible given the foldable's tall unfolded display, but unconfirmed.
• watchOS 27.3: Siri Recap and Live Rewind for Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 — double-press the Digital Crown to instantly replay the last 15 seconds of a conversation — plus Fitness+ Gym Strength workouts.

When will iOS 27.3 release to everyone?

Apple has given no public release date. A public beta is expected "in the days to come" (not Apple-confirmed). As precedent only: iOS 27.2 beta 1 arrived September 16 and Apple shipped 27.2 on October 26 — about six weeks later. Press expectations point to a public iOS 27.3 release in early to mid December, which lines up with the promised China Apple Intelligence launch.

Should you install the iOS 27.3 beta?

If you are not a developer, there is nothing to install yet — and even developers should know this is genuinely unfinished software. Apple's own notes cover developer changes only, and anything in the beta can change or disappear before release (the Health app's 27.2 disappearing act is proof). Keep your main iPhone on iOS 27.2 and wait for the public beta at the earliest. Beta software can be buggy — never put it on a mission-critical device.
