Motorola Signature 27: November 5 Launch Date Confirmed, Specs and Price Rumors

Updated: November 2, 2026. Motorola has confirmed the Signature 27 gets its global unveiling on November 5, 2026 — announced October 29, 2026 in a post on Motorola's official X account, ending with the line "See for yourself on November 5." Three days before that date, an early hands-on video by YouTuber Danny Winget (made in collaboration with Motorola) has already revealed nearly the full spec sheet, including a claimed 12,000-nit tandem OLED display and the first Android 17 flagship launch.

Here is what Motorola has confirmed, what the hands-on revealed, and what is still unknown — price included.

Launch date: November 5, 2026

Motorola set the date itself on October 29, 2026, ending weeks of vague "coming this November" teasers on its India microsite and US pages (per GizmoChina and 9to5Google). One caveat from Android Pure: Motorola's post only invites people to "see" the phone on November 5 — it does not call the date a sale date, a pre-order date, or a release date in any market. So the phone gets its full reveal on November 5; whether it goes on sale that day is still unconfirmed.

The Signature 27 was first previewed at the Snapdragon Summit in September 2026. Motorola has confirmed a US launch is in the pipeline (How-To Geek reports North America will get it in the "coming months," no sale date), and its India microsite points to a November window. A UAE launch has not been announced.

Confirmed specs: Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, 200MP periscope, B&O audio

Motorola has confirmed these details officially at the September unveiling and in later teasers (per 9to5Google and GizmoChina):

  • Chip: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 on a 2nm process
  • Main camera: 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 with OIS
  • Telephoto: 200MP periscope camera with up to 100x Super Zoom
  • Audio: speakers tuned by Bang & Olufsen — a Motorola first
  • Cooling: ArcticMesh system with a vapor chamber Motorola says is 40% larger than the previous generation, plus liquid metal and copper mesh
  • Updates: 7 years of OS updates (security-patch timing hedged by Motorola)
  • Finishes: PANTONE Coal Smoke (textured, tactical weave) and PANTONE Capulet Olive (feather-inspired texture), built with aircraft-grade aluminum and ceramic
  • Design: 6.8-inch quad-curved display, dedicated AI button on the left edge, IP68 and IP69 ratings

Hands-on reveal: 12,000-nit tandem OLED, Android 17, action camera

On October 31, 2026, YouTuber Danny Winget published an early hands-on after using a pre-launch unit for a few weeks, in collaboration with Motorola (reported by 9to5Google and Digital Trends). The video filled in the gaps:

  • Display: 6.8-inch "Extreme AMOLED Duo" with tandem OLED technology, LTPO, Dolby Vision, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Winget claims peak outdoor brightness of up to 12,000 nits — demonstrated staying readable under harsh sun in Lisbon and New York. Tandem OLED is the same tech Apple just put in the new touchscreen MacBook Pro's PROLED display.
  • Memory: 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage
  • Cameras: quad rear — 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main with LOFIC for stronger HDR (8K video at 30fps), 200MP periscope telephoto, 50MP ultrawide, and a new dedicated action sensor aimed at freezing fast motion. The front camera supports dual-capture video.
  • Software: Android 17 — making this the first Android 17 flagship to launch
  • Battery: Motorola has not cleared the exact capacity for disclosure; Winget only calls it "sizable" and says battery life has been good in his testing

Winget flags that his unit ran early software, so final camera tuning may still change before November 5.

Geekbench scores: 3,313 single-core, 11,088 multi-core

A Geekbench 7 listing spotted October 29–31, 2026 (reported by Notebookcheck and 91mobiles) shows the phone scoring 3,313 in single-core and 11,088 in multi-core. The listing names the chip QTI SM8975 — an octa-core part with cores at 3.74GHz, 4.03GHz, and 5.01GHz plus an Adreno 850 GPU — matching the confirmed Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The tested unit ran Android 17 with about 12GB of RAM. These are pre-launch figures; retail scores may differ.

The predecessor, the first-generation Motorola Signature (January 2026, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5), is a tier below this chip — Motorola is aiming the Signature 27 squarely at Samsung and Apple flagships.

Price: still the big unknown (rumors only)

Motorola has not hinted at the Signature 27's price. Two reported figures exist, both unconfirmed:

  • A Portuguese retailer, MegaPC, listed the 12GB/512GB Coal Smoke model at €1,594.90 (roughly $1,735, per GizmoChina's conversion) — against €999 for the original Signature in Europe. This is a retailer listing, not an official price.
  • PhoneArena estimates roughly $1,600 in the US; Indian press chatter points to around ₹1 lakh in India. Both are estimates, not confirmed figures.

If the retailer listing is accurate, Motorola is jumping the Signature line's price by about 60% — from €999 to €1,595. Expect the real number, and the full spec sheet, on November 5.

What's still unknown before November 5

  • Price — nothing official anywhere
  • Battery capacity — "sizable" is all the hands-on would say; a 6,000mAh figure circulates in some outlets but is unconfirmed
  • Refresh rate — the hands-on video reports 120Hz, but some outlets report Motorola confirmed 165Hz; the discrepancy is unresolved
  • Whether it goes on sale November 5 — Motorola has only promised a reveal
  • Front camera resolution — a 50MP front camera is claimed by some outlets, unconfirmed
  • Charging speed and wireless charging — not disclosed yet

Should you care? The trader's read

The Signature 27 is the most ambitious Motorola in years: 2nm flagship silicon, a tandem OLED panel, a 200MP periscope, and Android 17 out of the box. Seven years of OS updates also makes it resale-friendly — long software support holds second-hand values better, which matters if you're importing early units. The risk is price: at a rumored ~$1,600, it costs as much as an iPhone Pro Max and a lot more than the €999 original Signature, and Motorola's resale curve in the Gulf has never been Apple's. Wait for the November 5 pricing before calling it.

If you're buying phones the right way in Dubai, always run an IMEI check before you pay — the used-phone checklist applies to flagships like this one too.
